Kinetico Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Kinetico Incorporated manufactures and sells water treatment systems. The Company offers water softeners, reverse osmosis filtration systems, neutralizer, and saltless water systems, as well as other water filtration devices for residential and commercial uses. Kinetico serves customers worldwide.

An angry customer mentioned, "Kinetico came out on July 13th 2018 to replace all my filters on my water softener and water filtration system. Cost was $211.84. They are also the company that installed my system a couple years ago. On Sept 27th I revived my quarterly water bill. I was shocked when I noticed it was for $521.32. My normal water bill for a quarter is from $150 to $200 at the most. I called Kinetico to say something is wrong with this bill. I live by myself and have never used this much water. Plus I travel for a living so I'm gone from home a lot. The company said they actually had someone come out and check the water meter again before I even called due to the amount of water that was reported used. They informed me it was correct and I must have a water leak. I'm not a plumber, so I called a leak detection plumber. They came out on 10-13-2018. He was going to check all toilets, sinks, tubs, and so forth. When he went to the basement he found the water softener continually running. He also showed me on the meter that it was continually running as well. Once he shut off the water vale (bypassing the water softener) the water stopped running and the meter stop running as well. So this Monday 10-15-18 I called the Kenetico office. They could not help me, he said he didn't know what to do. So he gave me John's phone number, the area manager. I called John on 10-15-18 and again on 10-16-18. I have not received a call back as of today 10-18-18."

Sales Associate (Former Employee) says

"You get to learn a one and a half hour script. You get to use your own money to pay for gas. You get to work Home Shows for free. You get to have appointments that are manipulated. Cons: No pay for mileage, meetings or Home Shows"

Laborer (Current Employee) says

"no smoke breaks , they only had "walk away" machines. supervisors had their favorites that could get away with things that any other average joe wouldve been terminated for. upper management needs to keep a better eye on the production end. very unprofessional place to work Cons: supervisors cant pull heads out of they're own sphinctor for anybody but themselves"

Maintenance Worker (Former Employee) says

"This place will screw you any way they can and kick you to the curb for no reason just because you wont let them walk all over you."

Sales rep. (Former Employee) says

"All I can say is : Do not trust the management."

Water Softener Valve Assembly and Lead Tester (Former Employee) says

"Unless you're related to someone important, you get treated poorly. People there are horribly overworked. I was always the first to volunteer for overtime; the only one! When I returned from maternity leave, I was given a job I never had to do and expected to stay over every single night because I couldn't keep up with the people who have been doing it for years... after they gave my job to someone else. The managers are shady and hire their own children in their department, and do not give fair treatment to all their employees. Cons: Poor hours, poor management, stressful work environment"

Sales Coordinator (Former Employee) says

"Only looks for office workers to do all the work while others sit back and collect on minimal work. A good work ethic is not valued. A lot of layouts in office area. Unprofessional work atmosphere for anyone to work with."

Maintenance (Former Employee) says

"I started there to help organize the warehouse/garage area because it was in complete disarray. I got everything organized or toss out because the current tech was extremely unorganized and also didn't really care about where things should go. Which I thought didn't make a lot sense. I would think given the position as there head installer/tech person, that you would want to be proficient in where all your parts and tools are at. This was a temp job through a staffing agency. Cons: Alot of free time and not good management."

Assembly/Tester (Former Employee) says

"They fire you for reasons that have nothing to do with your work ethic or you job."

Press operator (Former Employee) says

"I enjoyed working at kinetico. Job was easy. Hard adjusting to 3rd shift. Everyone rotated jobs that were required that day. Pay was good. Treated us to lunch from time to time Cons: Short breaks and a short lunch"

Product Support Technician (Former Employee) says

"I loved the job but skill sets, initiative and being a high achiever go unnoticed. They will train ANYONE to do the basic job but it doesnt get you any industry certifications Therefore, they don't really try to keep top talent that WANT to be there. There also isn't much advancement unless you would want to relocate or travel all the time"

Telemarkieting (Former Employee) says

"This position was telemarketing. I did cold calling for water treatment systems in residential homes. It was really neat to see the tests done on water and how much better a treatment system is to have in the home. Cons: not enough pay, stressful at times"

Assembler (Former Employee) says

"the most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that if we all worked as a team we could produce alot of product."

"This job was a steady job. management made it extra fun to work there."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Kinetico full-time for more than 8 years Cons: New management does not lead, however they spend a lot of time in meetings without communicating with subordinates. No shared vision."

Former Employee - Sales says

"I worked at Kinetico full-time for more than 10 years Cons: Management. Since the take over, there's no value placed on any employee, middle management bullies subordinates, moral is at an all time low and everyone distrusts/disrespects them. Far too many people were brought in to "lead" the company who took no time at all to actually learn the industry, product or existing culture. They went from the best place to work to the worst."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Kinetico full-time Cons: No progression and Location Lack of training and performance reviews"

Former Employee - Territory Manager says

"I worked at Kinetico full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Boys club management, does not like older employees"

Current Employee - Manufacturing says

"I have been working at Kinetico full-time for more than a year Cons: There is no opportunity for growth if you are a professional. Upper management isn't a cohesive unit. Many managers are micro managers. Several are also very emotional and will make emotional decisions instead of rational."
